I am not going to bore you with a recap of what has already been said on the Harry and Meghan subject we all know it by now. What did strike me as odd though are the extracts from his book. Especially listening to extracts read by Harry himself describing the time Elizabeth Arden cream saved his “frostbitten todger”.
“My penis was oscillating between extremely sensitive and borderline traumatized,” he wrote, saying that a friend “urged” him to try the bestselling Elizabeth Arden ointment.
“‘My mum used that on her lips. You want me to put that on my todger?'” Harry recalled asking his friend, to which they responded, “‘It works, Harry. Trust me.'”
“I found a tube, and the minute I opened it, the smell transported me through time. I felt as if my mother was right there in the room.”
I mean erm ok.. the story in itself was probably meant to be both serious and tongue in cheek but the references to the smell of the cream and his late mother in the same sentence just sounded a bit weird.
In his book Harry admits to taking cocaine.
"Of course I had been taking cocaine at that time. At someone's house, during a hunting weekend, I was offered a line, and since then I had consumed some more,"
"It wasn't very fun, and it didn't make me feel especially happy as seems to happen to others, but it did make me feel different, and that was my main objective.
"To feel. To be different. I was a 17-year-old willing to try almost anything that would alter the pre-established order.
"At least, that's what I was trying to convince myself of."
This is certainly a revelation after the young prince had initially denied it but given what he had been through you cannot blame him for it. But is this the kind of thing he should be releasing to the world right now? Probably not.
